年に数回、任天堂の岩田聡社長によるマスメディアや株主向けのカンファレンス・説明会が行われるが、難しい用語が出てきたりしたらその用語の説明を入れたり、見やすいグラフや表を多用したりと、ごく一般の人が聞いても分かりやすいように工夫されているのが特徴である。

「今言ったようなことを聞くと、こう思う方がいるかもしれませんが」のように、聞き手が思うようなことを予想してその部分について説明を入れていく「先回り戦法」が多いのも大きな特徴である。

販売数などの部分では自社製品だけでなく他社製品とも積極的に比べているため、他社製品の現状も同時に分かったりする「一石二鳥」いや「一石三鳥」仕様でもある。基本は自慢話タイムであるが、他社製品に負けてる部分もちゃんと公表しており、「対策が必要」「次の一手が必要」などと分析する場面もある。他にも、「家庭内ユーザー数」や「ゲーム人口分布」など独自のデータも多く出てくる。

プレゼンをする事がある人にとってみれば、プレゼンの展開方法やスライドの作り方（レイアウト・配色・グラフ等）など結構参考になる部分が多いので、「プレゼンのお手本動画」として活用してみるのもいいかもしれない。
